Welcome to
Emergency Response
and Crisis Management
About
In September 2010, Denver Public Schools was awarded its third and final REMS Grant by the U.S. Department of Education. This grant will allow the district to enhance and further develop our emergency response and prevention practices already in place. At the heart of this grant is ongoing emergency response training for our schools and non-school facilities as well as strengthening our partnerships with outside agencies. DPS is a national leader among school districts for our emergency preparedness. The DPS ERCM program is under the oversight of the DPS departments of Safety and Security, Risk Management and Psychological Services.
